Funding Information for Prospective Undergraduate International Students 

Edinburgh Global USA Scholarships

 

The University of Edinburgh will offer a minimum of three scholarships for undergraduate study in any subject offered by the University. Each scholarship will have a value of £1,000 per year which will be deducted from the tuition fee and will be tenable for the duration of the programme of study.
 

Eligibility

The scholarships will be awarded to US citizens who are normally resident in and have completed their secondary education in the USA, and who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for an undergraduate programme of study at the University of Edinburgh.

Applicants should have applied through UCAS or VMCAS for Veterinary Medicine applicants and should have been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh by the scholarship closing date of 1 April 2010.


Criteria

The scholarship will be awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit. The scholarship is not available to students already on programme.

Completed application forms must be returned to the Scholarships and Student Finance Office no later than 1 April 2010.


Selection Procedure

A Selection Committee will meet in April to select the scholarship holders. The winners of the scholarship will be announced in late April 2010.

Termination of Scholarship

The scholarship may be terminated at any time if in the opinion of the Selection Committee the scholar has failed to make satisfactory progress or if the scholar withdraws or otherwise ceases to be registered as a full-time student at the University of Edinburgh.
