Funding Information for Prospective Undergraduate International Students
Edinburgh Global India Scholarships

The University of Edinburgh will offer two scholarships for undergraduate study in any subject offered by the University within the College of Humanities and Social Science, and the College of Science and Engineering. Each scholarship will amount to £3,000 per annum deducted from the tuition fee and will be tenable for the duration of the course of study.
Eligibility
The scholarships will be awarded to two citizens of India who are normally resident in and have completed their secondary education in India, and who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for an undergraduate programme of study at the University of Edinburgh.
Applicants should have applied through UCAS and should have been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh by the scholarship closing date of 17 June 2010.
Criteria
The scholarship will be awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit with candidates requiring an overall average of 85% in the Standard XII Higher Secondary School Certificate from the CBSE or CICSE national Boards, or certain selected state Boards. Students with exceptional A Levels, IB grades or other acceptable qualifications as approved by the University of Edinburgh will also be considered.

Completed application forms must be returned to the Scholarships and Student Finance Office no later than 17 June 2010.
Selection Procedure
A Selection Committee will meet in early July to select the scholarship holders. The winners of the scholarship will be announced in mid July 2010.
Termination of Scholarship
The scholarship may be terminated at any time if in the opinion of the Selection Committee the scholar has failed to make satisfactory progress or if the scholar withdraws or otherwise ceases to be registered as a full-time student at the University of Edinburgh.
