Scotland's Saltire Scholarships 2010 at the University of Edinburgh

The University of Edinburgh will offer a number of Master's scholarships for
postgraduate Master's study in any subject offered by the University for the
2010-2011 academic session. Each scholarship
will amount to £2,000 and will be tenable for one
academic year.
These scholarships are supported and funded by the Scottish Government in partnership with the University of Edinburgh.
Eligibility
The scholarships will be awarded to citizens of Canada, the People's Republic of China, India and the USA, and who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for a postgraduate Master's programme of study at the University of Edinburgh. A list of priority subject areas for Scotland's Saltire Scholarships can be found on the British Council website.
Applicants should already have been offered a place at the University of
Edinburgh and should have firmly accepted that offer by the scholarship closing
date of Friday 11 June 2010.
Applicants should not have completed an undergraduate degree in Scotland.
Criteria
The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, the international equivalent of a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level.
Application Procedure
Eligible applicants should complete an online scholarship application which can be found by clicking on the "where can I study and how do I apply" section of the British Council website.
Once you have submitted your online application, the British Council will e-mail you a pdf version of your completed application which you should then e-mail to the Scholarships and Student Finance Office at the University of Edinburgh by the closing date of Friday 11 June 2010. Please e-mail your pdf scholarship application to scholarships@ed.ac.uk. Please state clearly in the header of your e-mail your UUN (University Username).
Please note that we do NOT need you to send supporting documentation to the Scholarships Office as we will be able to use the documentation you uploaded to EUCLID as part of your application for admission.
