Funding Information for Prospective Postgraduate International Students
Informatics International Master's Scholarships
The School of Informatics will offer up to 10 Master's scholarships for postgraduate
study for the 2010-2011 academic
session.
Each scholarship will have a value of £1,000 and will be tenable for one academic year.
Eligibility
The scholarships will be awarded to international (non-EU) students who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for an eligible postgraduate Master's programme of study at the School of Informatics.
Eligible programmes include:
- MSc in Artificial Intelligence
- MSc in Cognitive Science
- MSc in Computer Science
- MSc in Informatics
Criteria
The scholarship will be awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level or the international equivalent.
In addition to the above academic qualifications, the selection panel will also take into account the financial circumstances of applicants to ensure that as far as possible a student's financial situation does not impede a university education at the University of Edinburgh.

Completed application forms must be received by the Scholarships and Student Finance Office no later than 1 April 2010.
Selection Procedure
A Selection Committee will meet in late May 2010 to select the scholarship holders. The winners of the scholarships will be announced in late May 2010.
